Obituary for Katherine "Kathy" Osborn

Funeral services for Katherine (Kathy) Marie Reed Osborn, age 44, of Sparta will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, September 17, 2015, in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Gerhart officiating. Interment will follow in Judd Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-8 pm, Wednesday, and again Thursday, from 9am until 12 noon at Presley Funeral Home.

Kathy passed away early Sunday morning in White County as a result of a car accident.

Kathy was born January 31, 1971 in Putnam County to Burt Reed and Carolyn Walker McCloud.

She worked as a Dental Assistant at Brooksbank/Owsley Regional Oral Surgery Center. She was a loving mother, a beautiful daughter, and a “Rock” for all her friends and family, known for her favorite saying when met with a challenge, “Really? I’ve got this”.

Mrs. Osborn was preceded in death by; her father in law, John Osborn; Grandmother, Ann Stevenson; Great-Grandmother, Clara Goodwin.

Kathy is survived by; Husband, Steve Osborn; Son, Parker Osborn; two Daughters, Emily and Samantha Osborn; Granddaughter, Ava Osborn, all of Sparta. Mom and Step-Dad, Yvonne (Jim) McCloud, Cookeville; Dad and Step-Mom, Burt (Rita) Reed, Sparta; Grandmother, Katherine McCaleb; Father figure, Fred Flatt; Mother in Law, Margaret Osborn, Cookeville; three Sisters, Stephanie (Jerry) Ballard and niece Sadee Ballard, Cookeville, Christy (Chris) Collins, New Carlisle, Ohio, Amanda Skidmore, Manchester, Tennessee; three brothers, Jamie and Shane McCloud and Marty Flatt; numerous Step-Brothers and Step-Sisters and extended family.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bank of Putnam County for her son Parker.
