Kris Johnson, age 48, of Cookeville passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at his home in Cookeville following brief illness. He was born Sunday, March 21, 1971 in Cookeville to Gene Albert Johnson and Sandra Faye Lollar Johnson. Kris was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Elmer and Geraldine Lollar and paternal grandparents, Eugene and Ruth M. Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Maria Vivar Johnson; parents, Gene “Jack” and Sandra Lollar Johnson of Cookeville; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Kathy Babcock of Gainesboro; sister-in-law; Vanessa (Michael) Netherton and their children, Aden, Zane, and Emery of Gainesboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
